Lena Van Asdale, JD is a seasoned intellectual property attorney with over twenty years of experience protecting and advancing innovation. She assists her clients in intellectual property matters such as patent prosecution, litigation, portfolio management, mergers and patent acquisitions. Lena partners with inventors, product developers, and executive teams to translate novel ideas into high-value intellectual assets.

Her career spans leadership roles in both corporate and legal settings. While in private practice, Lena prosecuted patent applications in both the chemical and mechanical fields. In addition, she worked on patent infringement cases in the biotech field, patent design infringement cases and trademark infringement cases. While in the corporate setting she managed large patent portfolios, conducted valuations of different patent portfolios and secured patent license agreements. In addition, she assisted companies to develop processes to streamline invention harvesting, strengthened patent claims to maximize licensing value, and guided companies through acquisitions and R&D prioritization.
